PANGKALPINANG -- To encourage MSME players to improve product branding and penetrate the global market, PT Timah is again providing training for dozens of its fostered partners.
This training for fostered partners with the theme "Strategy and Improvement of MSMEs through an Entrepreneurial Mindset and Product Branding in Digital Market Competition" took place in the Main Meeting Room of PT Timah, on Thursday (30/5/2024).
Presenting resource persons, Pangkalpinang UMKM Consultant Aditya Pratama and also CEO of Rumah BUMN Bangka Belitung Rudi Darwin, the participants enthusiastically took part in the ongoing training.
Training for fostered MSME partners is one of PT Timah's commitments to support increasing MSME capabilities. Especially now that marketing and promotional challenges are high. So MSMEs must be able to adapt to utilize technology to be able to exist in the global market to meet consumer needs.
With this training, it is hoped that the products of PT Timah's MSME partners can penetrate the global market by utilizing digitalization.
Partners gain insight into using social media to promote products, collaborate to introduce products, and have a growth mindset to develop their business.
One of the speakers in this training, Aditya Pratama, said that the participants were very enthusiastic. This was seen in the discussion moment, where many participants wanted to know about new things and strategies that could be applied to their business.
"Their enthusiasm is extraordinary in training and developing their businesses. I think PT Timah has facilitated MSMEs who are enthusiastic about developing their businesses. Participants don't just follow the material, they use this opportunity to see how far they have developed," he said.
In the future, he hopes that training for MSMEs will be carried out more frequently with various different themes. So that later it can become a provision for MSME players to be able to exist in developing their business.
"Activities like this are a form of PT Timah's attention to supporting the development of MSME partners. Hopefully, this can continue and PT Timah can also collaborate with students to improve the branding of MSME products," he said.
One of the training participants, Sudarti, who owns the Sudarti Cheni Gallery business which produces traditional wedding dresses, said that this training was very useful for him to develop insight into product branding.
"I got a lot of input and insight from this training so that I can progress further so that my gallery can become better known. Moreover, I also work in weddings," he said.
According to him, he has started to use social media to promote their gallery, but knowing some of the tricks in this training can help him optimize social media more as a means of promotion.

"Hopefully PT Timah can continue to work together and foster MSMEs like us who are just starting to crawl to achieve success. PT Timah will not only help with capital but also increase insight," he said.
Likewise, Bahtiar Arani, owner of the Barberga Studio business, said he was very grateful to be able to become a partner with PT Timah, because he can continue to develop his business.
"Training is very helpful in increasing knowledge, insight, and relationships, changing mindsets in the future so that businesses can progress further. Training like this is very important so that we know more about digital marketing to promote products," he said.
In the future, he hopes that PT Timah can continue to guide them in running their business. So that later they can exist.
