MERANTI -- To increase fishermen's catches, PT Timah handed over assistance to KUB Rezeki Fishermen Rangsang, in Tanjung Bakau Village, Rangsang District, Meranti Islands Regency, Wednesday 14 August 2024.
Chairman of the KUB Rezeki Fishermen Group, Rangsang Darmawan (56), said they really needed help from PT Timah. Especially to support fishermen to earn a living.
"Thank you for PT Timah's assistance. Hopefully, the assistance and attention from the company can help improve the economy of fishermen in Rangsang District," said Darmawan.
Furthermore, he said that the assistance from PT Timah would be used to purchase solar panels and support the needs of the group's 10 members.
According to Darmawan, this assistance is really needed by its members, to support work so that catches are maximized and the family economy is also improved.
Meanwhile, the Head of Rangsang Setu Subdistrict appreciated the support from PT Timah which has helped their residents in various fields.
"Hopefully in the future, PT Timah and the Rangsang District Government can continue to synergize and collaborate in advancing the economy of the people of Rangsang District," he said. (*)
