WEST BANGKA -- PT Timah continues to improve the capabilities of Timah's people in supporting the company's business processes through training and coaching programs.
One of the training programs carried out included a techno-economic study workshop for 36 PT Timah employees in the Smelting and Processing Division which took place on 3-4 June 2024 at Wisma Sriwijaya, West Bangka.
The techno-economic study workshop which was opened by the Head of the Processing and Smelting Division, Sofian Simangungsong, was presented by Facilitator Ir Slamet Afandi MBA, from Business and Management Consultants.
Ir Slamet Afandi MBA, said that through training helps Timah people to design or compile correct techno-economic studies in accordance with the rules.
"This training aims to straighten out our understanding of how to design or compile a correct techno-economic study according to its rules. Because this concerns investment, if it is wrong the risks are big," said Slamet.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Processing and Smelting Division, Sofian Simangungsong, hopes that the costs incurred by the Processing and Smelting Division to purchase, maintain, and repair fixed assets/long-term assets will be beneficial for the company.
"Preparing a techno-economic study is a mandatory requirement, and every time we submit a Capital Expenditure (Capex), the company has considered its function, reviewed the cost, feasibility, and risk analysis," he said.
He said, that with this training it is hoped that it can improve employees' abilities in preparing techno-economic studies so that it can provide great benefits for the company. (*)
