KARIMUN -- PT Timah continues to be committed to improving tin governance within the company's internal environment. One of them is by improving the capabilities of Timah's employees through a training program in the form of a Tin Mining Governance workshop, a collaboration with the District Attorney's Office in each operational area.
This time, the Tins Series Workshop: Corporate Service on Tin Mining Governance was held in the Kundur Wilasi in collaboration with the Karimun District Attorney's Office, on Wednesday (28/8/2024) in the Kundur Wilasi Hall.
This activity was also attended by the Head of the Karimun District Attorney's Office Priyambudi, Head of the Karimun District Attorney's Office Datun Dicky Aditya, Head of the Karimun District Attorney's Office Intel Rezi Dharmawan, Head of the Kundur Wilasi Wiyono and PT Timah Employees.
This Tin Mining Governance Workshop is an effort by PT Timah to increase Timah's employees' insight into tin mining governance, especially those related to legal aspects.
On this occasion, the Karimun District Attorney provided legal counseling on law enforcement and mining governance arrangements at PT Timah.
The materials presented included the duties and functions of the prosecutor's office, public and private legal areas, and mining law enforcement related to land control, rights, power, ownership, management, assets, mining fraud, and legal risks from mining activities.
On this occasion, it also discussed asset rescue, the economic and social impacts of mining crimes, improving mineral mining governance, fraud and causes of corruption in BUMN, sanctions and consequences of corruption in the sustainability and continuity of BUMN, and mitigation of corruption crimes
Previously, tin mining governance workshops have also been held in several operational areas of PT Timah companies such as in East Belitung, Belitung, and several other areas.
The Head of Corporate Communications of PT Timah, Anggi Siahaan appreciated the Karimun High Prosecutor's Office for collaborating in supporting and assisting PT Timah in running its business processes.
