PANGKALPINANG -- Livable housing (RTLH) is one of the basic needs of society. Realizing this, PT Timah Tbk 2022 built 14 RTLH units for the community in the company's operational areas.
The construction of this RTLH is a manifestation of the company's concern to provide livable homes for economically disadvantaged people. In addition, PT Timah Tbk's RTLH assistance targets people whose houses have been damaged by the disaster.
Members of the Indonesian mining holding MIND ID built dozens of RLH units in Bangka Belitung Province and Riau Archipelago Province.
As for the distribution of assistance for Livable Housing for issuers with the TINS ??Code in 2022, namely; Three units of Bangka Regency, three units of West Bangka Regency, two units of South Bangka Regency, two units of Central Bangka Regency, one unit of Pangkalpinang City, one unit of East Belitung Regency, and two units of Karimun Regency.
The RLTH program is a routine program that is carried out by PT Timah Tbk every year to help improve the quality of life of the community. PT Timah Tbk is also working with the Government and the community in building RTLH.
The renovation of PT Timah Tbk's RTLH also provides its happiness for the recipients, so that they can live in a safe, comfortable, and decent home.
One of the RTLH recipients from PT Timah Tbk, a resident of Kulur Village, Central Bangka Regency, Edison said he was very happy to have a livable home for his family. They are no longer worried about leaks when it rains and is not afraid of their house collapsing.
"Happy, touched. That's how it feels. At first, I didn't think this house would be built like this. Because if you use your funds it doesn't feel possible, my income from taking wages is only enough to eat," he said after receiving a Livable Residential House from PT Timah Tbk.
In the same vein, Herman, a resident of Belo Laut Village, West Bangka Regency, said he did not expect that his house would be repaired by PT Timah Tbk. The reason is, his house almost collapsed due to age.
Previously, Herman's house almost collapsed due to damage such as the wood was already brittle, and the roof which was made of sago palms was also damaged. He, who works as a fisherman with an uncertain income, cannot do much to improve his house.
"I can't say anything else, everything is mixed, emotional, and happy. It was unthinkable to build a house like this. Thanks to PT Timah for repairing our house," he said.
It's the same with Muhammad Afizal (24), a resident of Sawang Laut Village, Kundur Barat District, who did not expect that his house would be rebuilt by PT Timah Tbk. His house was damaged by a falling tree because of the rain and wind so it could not be occupied.
"Thank God, now my house can be lived in with my small family and it looks prettier than before," said the man who works as a fisherman.
