PANGKALPINANG – One manifestation of the Company's commitment to supporting sustainable development is to carry out various Corporate Social Responsibility activities that aim to provide sustainable benefits for the surrounding community.
To that end, PT Timah Tbk continues to be committed to channeling its CSR to the community in the company's operational areas. Throughout 2021, PT Timah Tbk disbursed funds for CSR amounting to Rp54.31 billion which was distributed to all operational areas of the company.
This CSR distribution increased by 108 percent from the planned distribution of Rp50.2 billion. PT Timah Tbk distributed CSR to the Riau Islands Province of Rp. 6.68 billion, to the Province of the Bangka Belitung Islands of Rp. 42.08 billion and to Jakarta of Rp. 1.50 billion.
The distribution of CSR funds is divided into the Social Responsibility program (TJSL) and the Micro and Small Business Funding program (PUMK). For the TJSL program, Rp31.870 billion was disbursed which was realized in several programs, namely fishing ground with fishing communities, Tinskubator, Eco-Village Srimenanti, Entrepreneur Nipah sticks, Timah Mengajar through scholarship education program at SMAN 1 Pemali, Mitigation of climate change by planting mangroves, assisting community plantations around the mine, and preserving the environment for endemic animals and tofu.
As for the PUMK program, PT Timah Tbk disbursed Rp 22.483 billion in funds, and in addition, it has implemented several programs namely MSME training, MSME product promotion at Tins Gallery, MSME product promotion at the Sebalai Serumpun Gallery, Production of video production of fostered partners, involving fostered MSMEs to exhibitions in Bangka Belitung and National (Jakarta, solo, Banten) and improving the quality of fostered partners to advance to class.
Head of Corporate Communications at PT Timah Tbk, Anggi Siahaan, said that in distributing CSR, PT Timah Tbk seeks to carry out sustainable community empowerment activities, based on the potential of the region.

Furthermore, Anggi conveyed that PT Timah Tbk in the distribution of CSR as a form of PT Timah Tbk's commitment which has close links with economic and socio-cultural aspects.
