WEST BANGKA -- Homecomers who will pass at Tanjung Kalian Port, Muntok, West Bangka Regency continue to increase ahead of Eid Al-Fitr 1443 Hijriah. Long lines are also inevitable, making travelers have to wait their turn to cross.
To help comfort travelers, PT Timah Tbk has established MCK facilities which are located at the new vehicle terminal and along the Jl Tanjung Kalian Muntok section.
Ia (39), a resident of Pangkalpinang who is going home to Palembang, admitted that he was helped by the MCK assistance from PT Timah
"Feeling helped by the facilities provided by PT Timah, we want to take a bath, defecate, especially with the environment surrounded by forests, it is very helpful," he said.
Similarly, Hendra (40), a resident of Muntok who will return to Palembang, said that he was quite pleased with the MCK services provided by PT Timah.
"Homecomers are quite happy, because this is an urgent need for travelers. It is a form of concern for travelers, giving them a sense of comfort, because in previous years this many MCK had never been established. We thank PT Timah," said Hendra.
Meanwhile, General Manager of ASDP Tanjung Kalian Port, Christopher Samosir, appreciates all parties who have helped smooth the flow of Homecoming in 2022.
"In this case, we express our appreciation and gratitude to all parties who have helped smooth the flow of going home this year, be it the police, TNI, Transportation Agency, health workers and PT Timah and others," he said.
In addition to helping with MCK facilities, PT Timah helped heavy equipment to open car parking lots and tents for several Eid posts at Tanjung Kalian port.
