KUNDUR -- Surau Al-Hijrah, Tanjung Batu Barat Village, Kundur District received assistance to improve facilities and infrastructure for places of worship from PT Timah, on Monday (4/3/2024).
This assistance is one part of the environmental social responsibility program in religious aspects carried out by PT Timah. Members of this mining industry consistently distribute aid to places of worship.
Chairman of Surau Al Hijrah Ustadz Muhammad Fadli expressed his appreciation for PT Timah for helping their surau. So they can complete the parking construction in the surau area.
"We plan to use this assistance to build a parking lot at the Surau so that apart from looking neat it will also be more beautiful and comfortable. Because so far the pilgrims' vehicles have not been well organized, making the atmosphere at the Surau also look chaotic and unsightly," he said.
In the future, he hopes that this parking can improve the safety and comfort of the congregation who are worshiping.
"Hopefully PT Timah will be given smooth running in its business and will be given an abundance of good fortune so that it can progress and develop to support the development of the Kundur Island community," he said.
According to him, PT Timah is very sensitive in paying attention to the community around its operational area so PT Timah's presence on Kundur Island has a positive impact on the community.
