BANGKA - To make the Government's program successful in eradicating stunting, PT Timah Tbk again handed over additional food packages for toddlers who experience stunting in Sinar Jaya Village, Bangka Regency, Thursday (24/11/2022).
These dozens of additional food packages were handed over by the CSR team of PT Timah Tbk, which is a member of the MIND ID Mining Industry Holding, to families of toddlers with stunting.
One of the parents who received the additional food packages, Nurazima, said he was very grateful to receive assistance from PT Timah Tbk in the form of additional food packages for their children.
"My child eats well, but the portions are very small. Apart from eating, he also breastfeeds. In one month can be up to 4 to 5 cans of sweetened condensed milk. Likewise, for snacks, he also eats less," she said.
She appreciated PT Timah Tbk for helping increase the nutritional intake for her baby.
"Thank you very much to PT Timah for helping our child improve his nutrition. We hope that assistance like this can continue to be given to our children, because we also want to see my child grow and develop among children in general," said Nurazima.
In the same vein, Rumina (33) revealed that two of her children are stunted. For that, she is very happy to be able to get additional food package assistance.
"Even though my child wants to eat, I don't know why his body is so small. But in our opinion this might be a hereditary factor because my husband and I are also not tall," she said
"Thank you PT Timah for helping us. This assistance is very useful for our children. My husband works odd jobs, so if I can't make money, I can't buy milk either," she said.
The Head of the Ake Environment, Kasro is very grateful that PT Timah Tbk can provide assistance to their residents.
"Alhamdulillah, there is a lot of assistance from PT Timah for children with stunting. And hopefully, with this assistance, the conditions for the children can get better," he said.
Head of the Section for Community Empowerment, Welfare, Family Planning, and Women's Empowerment (Kasi PM, Welfare, KB, and PP) for Sinar Jaya Sub-District, Erfiana said that in her Kelurahan there are several children who experience stunting and malnutrition.
"There are 11 children in our urban village who are stunted, out of the 11 children, 3 are malnourished. Of course, this is a concern for us, to continue to monitor the condition of these children. So that our target of becoming a zero stunting area can be achieved," she said.
Erfiana appreciates the assistance provided by PT Timah Tbk to its residents, and she hopes that this assistance can continue so that it can meet the nutritional needs of children.
“This assistance is certainly very helpful for the development of these children. We are very grateful to PT Timah Tbk for providing additional food for these children, hopefully, in the future, their nutrition will be even better," she said.
