PANGKALPINANG -- Cheers echoed from PT Timah employees as they watched the Indonesian National Team face off against Vietnam in the final match of the 2025 AFF U-23 Cup, held at PT Timah’s Pool Garage on Tuesday night (July 29, 2025).
The live viewing event, organized by the Timah Employee Association (IKT), was attended by hundreds of PT Timah employees eager to show their support for the national team.
More than just watching, employees passionately cheered and chanted in support of the Indonesian squad during the intense match.
IKT Chairman Riki Febriansyah stated that the live viewing was a way to foster a sense of nationalism and strengthen bonds among PT Timah employees.
"This is a true expression of our love for Indonesia by supporting our national team competing in the AFF U-23 Cup. It also serves as a moment for employees to connect and build camaraderie," Riki said.
He expressed hope that activities like this, including future internal tournaments, will continue to boost team spirit among employees.
"We hope to keep holding events like this, so that our love for Indonesia continues to grow and take root in the hearts of all PT Timah employees," he added.
Meanwhile, Division Head of Human Capital at PT Timah Tbk, Jezen Zainal Arifin, highlighted that such live viewing events are a meaningful way to build harmony within the workplace.
"Fostering harmony doesn't always require formal programs. It often stems from simple yet impactful moments like this. Hopefully, this creates unity and nurtures love for Timah and our homeland," he said.
