SOUTH BANGKA -- In welcoming Eid al-Adha 1446 H, PT Timah Tbk distributed 30 sacrificial animals to the community in South Bangka Regency.
The distribution of the sacrificial animals was received directly by the Regent of South Bangka, Riza Herdavid, along with members of the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda) at the Gunung Namak Meeting Room, South Bangka Regent's Office on Wednesday (June 4, 2025).
Riza Herdavid appreciated the role and contribution of PT Timah in implementing social programs and supporting development in South Bangka Regency.
“Alhamdulillah, the assistance in the form of cows amounts to 75, and there is also cash assistance worth around forty million rupiahs. As agreed, this is a form of concern from the companies in South Bangka Regency to share with the people of South Bangka,” he said.
Riza added that the sacrificial animals from the companies will be distributed to villages across South Bangka to share joy with the community during Eid al-Adha.
“There are so many caring companies, especially PT Timah which is truly extraordinary. To PT Timah, I am very grateful. Hopefully, what PT Timah has done will always be the best, and may all of PT Timah's activities be made easier so its contribution to the community can truly be felt by the people of South Bangka,” said Riza.
Additionally, Riza praised PT Timah's consistency in not only being present during Eid al-Adha but also actively participating in various other social sectors in South Bangka.
“I really hope that PT Timah’s presence is truly felt by the people of South Bangka, because when people feel PT Timah’s presence, I believe they will think positively. It is proven today that PT Timah has donated 30 cows,” he said.
Similarly, the Head of Tanjung Ketapang Subdistrict, Sunarno, stated that the donation of sacrificial animals brought additional blessings for his residents.
“We are very grateful for the sacrificial animal assistance from PT Timah, because with this aid, some of our residents can benefit from it. Besides that, PT Timah has frequently helped us in the fields of health, social, and environmental matters. PT Timah is very supportive,” he said.
The donation of sacrificial animals is part of PT Timah Tbk’s commitment to social responsibility in building harmonious relations with communities around its operational areas. PT Timah not only contributes economically but is also active in community social programs such as Qurban, education assistance, environmental initiatives, and healthcare.
