PANGKALPINANG -- Welcoming Eid al-Fitr 1445 Hijriah, PT Timah together with the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) are again holding the 2024 Free Homecoming which is part of the 'Fun Homecoming with BUMN 2024' program.
Free homecoming in 2024 for members of the MIND ID Mining Industry Holding provides a quota of 700 participants with the destination Bangka (Pangkalpinang, Muntok, Toboali, Belinyu) with a quota of 375 people, Belitung (Belitung and East Belitung) with a quota of 235 people and Riau Islands (Tanjung Balai Karimun ) with a quota of 50 people.
Meanwhile, departures are at several points starting from Jakarta, Bandung, Palembang, and Yogyakarta. The first departure will start on March 29.
This free homecoming program with BUMN 2024 is intended for students and the general public. Fun Homecoming with BUMN 2024 will use bus and boat transportation.
For this reason, PT Timah Tbk also collaborates with the Bangka Student Association (ISBA), the Belitong Family Student Association (IKPB), and KPMKR (Riau Islands Student Family).
Head of Corporate Communications at PT Timah, Anggi Siahaan, said that this Free Homecoming is a routine program carried out by PT Timah to help people who want to return to their hometowns and gather with their families on Idul Fitri.
Anggi said that free homecoming is a collaborative activity with the Ministry of BUMN to help people go home safely, comfortably, and more friendly.
"Through this joint homecoming, we will also divert private vehicle users, especially motorbikes, to public transportation that meets safety standards. Apart from that, reducing the use of private vehicles will also reduce emissions," he said. (*)
