WEST BANGKA -- A smile of happiness shone across Heriyana's face (40) when the PT Timah CSR Team visited her baby Sunita (8) at the Sejiran Setason General Hospital, West Bangka, Friday (4/5/2024).
Sunita had to receive treatment because she was suffering from epilepsy. During PT Timah's friendly visit to the Sejiran Setason General Hospital, West Bangka, to provide assistance for medical expenses for Sunita.
This assistance was received directly by Mrs. Sunita, Heriyana, who was also witnessed by the Head of Air Limau Village, Mexsi Diansah, and the Head of Services at Sejoran Setason Mentok Regional Hospital, Arsul Sani.
Heriyana said that her daughter had been suffering from epilepsy for four years and had to receive treatment. The family's poor economic condition means they have to work even harder to pay for their child's medical expenses.
"The family's economic conditions are very mediocre and my husband is only a daily laborer. With assistance from PT Timah and other benefactors we have been greatly helped," she said.
His party appreciates PT Timah for providing assistance for his daughter's medical expenses. This assistance will be used for Sunita's needs and medical costs so that she can continue.
"We as a family are grateful and would like to thank PT Timah for its assistance. Hopefully PT Timah will be successful in helping people in need," he said.
Meanwhile, the Head of Air Limau village, Mexsi Diansah, said that PT Timah often helps its residents who need help, not only in the health sector but also in the social and community sector.
"Apart from Sunita, PT Timah has also provided wheelchairs for residents, apart from that, there has been a lot of other assistance such as basic necessities, and social, economic, such as the company's innovation program which has improved the economy of the Air Limau village community," he said.
Mexsi hopes that PT Timah will continue to exist and progress so that it can continue to help the community in its operational areas, especially in their villages.
