Helping the Community During the Month of Ramadan, PT Timah Tbk Distributes 200 Food Packages to Residents in West Bangka

WEST BANGKA -- To help the community in the Company's operational areas in the Fasting service, PT Timah Tbk handed over 200 food packages to people in need in West Bangka Regency.

Hundreds of basic food packages from PT Timah Tbk were distributed to residents in Tanjung Village and Air Putih Village, Muntok District, West Bangka Regency, Friday (24/3/2023).

One of the recipients of the basic food packages, Yuan (53), a resident of Rubiah Bay, is grateful for the assistance of the basic food packages from PT Timah Tbk.

"Alhamdulillah, thank you very much to PT Timah for assisting with basic food packages," said Yuan, who works as a firewood collector daily.

In the same vein, Asmala (62) admitted that she was happy to receive groceries during the month of Ramadan. Moreover, this staple food is really needed to meet the family's food needs.

"It's great to have assistance with basic food packages, especially during the month of Ramadan and we don't have any. This is very helpful," she said.

Meanwhile, Syarifudin (51), Head of RW 06 Teluk Rubiah, Tanjung sub-district, said that besides basic food assistance, PT Timah also often provides social assistance to the community.

"Alhamdulillah, the residents feel helped, there is a lot of assistance from PT Timah Tbk apart from groceries. There is assistance for livable houses, assistance for sick residents, assistance for houses of worship, assistance for Qurban and others," said Syarifudin.

Likewise, the Head of Air Putih Village, Sulaiman appreciated PT Timah's concern for its residents during the month of Ramadan, so that they could help the people in their village.

"Thank you for PT Timah Tbk's concern for helping residents during the month of Ramadan which we distributed to five hamlets. We hope that the synergy will continue and PT Timah will progress further," said Sulaiman. (*)
