NATUNA -- PT Timah Tbk handed over basic food packages to victims of landslides and floods in Serasan District, Natuna Regency, Riau Islands Province at the Natuna Regency BPBD Office, Monday (13/3/2023).
Apart from providing basic food packages, PT Timah Tbk, which is a member of the MIND ID Mining Industry Holding, also provided additional food assistance for balita, such as milk, biscuits, and baby equipment.
Assistance from PT Timah Tbk was handed over to the Natuna Regency Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) which will be distributed to victims of the landslide disaster. Previously, PT Timah Tbk had coordinated with the Natuna Regency Social Service regarding the needs of the victims.
This assistance is expected to help meet the food needs of victims and toddlers.
Secretary of BPBD Natuna Regency Syarifudin expressed his appreciation to PT Timah Tbk for being swift and responsive in helping the people in Natuna Regency, especially Serasan residents who were being hit by floods and landslides.
"Thank you to PT Timah for providing assistance, attention, and also support for the people of Serasan," he said.
He said this assistance would help ease the burden on the people who were being hit by a disaster.
"Hopefully this assistance can help ease the burden on the Serasan people who are currently being hit by a disaster and ask for prayers and support from the whole community so that Serasan residents will be given strength and fortitude in undergoing this test," he said. (*)
