Healthy Mobile Clinic PT TIMAH: Reaching Thousands of Residents and Strengthening Healthcare Access Around Mining Areas

PANGKALPINANG -- PT TIMAH Tbk continues to provide healthcare services to communities in its operational areas as part of its efforts to improve public health. One of these initiatives is the Healthy Mobile Clinic.

Since its launch in 2020, the PT TIMAH Tbk Healthy Mobile Clinic has served tens of thousands of people across the Bangka Belitung Islands Province, Riau Province, and the Riau Islands Province, visiting hundreds of locations within its operational zones.

PT TIMAH Tbk has prioritized healthcare as one of its key Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) programs. This aligns with the company’s commitment to implementing the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 3: Good Health and Well-Being.

In addition to providing free medical services, the Healthy Mobile Clinic routinely offers basic health education. Its presence also brings healthcare access closer to the community.

The Healthy Mobile Clinic has been warmly welcomed by residents living around the mining areas. Whenever the clinic arrives, people gather in large numbers to receive free medical services provided by professional healthcare workers.

Beyond offering free healthcare services, the PT TIMAH Tbk Healthy Mobile Clinic also provides health education to support government efforts in promoting healthy living. These sessions cover balanced nutrition, infectious disease prevention, and the importance of maintaining a clean environment.

The program serves as a platform to strengthen collaboration between the company and the community, helping individuals maintain their health and the health of their families in the long term.

From January to October 2025, the PT TIMAH Tbk Healthy Mobile Clinic has provided healthcare services to 6,038 people across the company’s operational areas. It visits not only hamlets, villages, and urban neighborhoods but also various public facilities.

Last week, the PT TIMAH Tbk Healthy Mobile Clinic offered free healthcare services to residents in the Nelayan 2 Sungailiat area of Bangka Regency and at the Bakam Football Field, also in Bangka Regency.

The Acting Head of the Bangka Belitung Health Office, Dr. Ria Agustine, M.Kes., stated that the free healthcare services offered by PT TIMAH Tbk reflect a strong collaborative effort to improve public health.

“This is a form of synergy: keeping healthy people healthy and helping sick people recover through free medical services. It expands healthcare coverage and supports efforts to improve the community’s health,” she said.

She hopes the program will continue, noting that improving public health requires strong cooperation from all parties.

PT TIMAH Tbk’s Department Head of Corporate Communication, Anggi Siahaan, explained that the company remains committed to improving public health through a variety of programs, including the Healthy Mobile Clinic, medical assistance, health education, and stunting prevention initiatives.

“Through its TJSL programs, PT TIMAH Tbk provides healthcare services to the community. The company hopes that these initiatives will help expand public access to healthcare,” she said. (*)
