CENTRAL BANGKA - PT Timah Tbk is again providing free medical check-up services for the people around the mine. This time, PT Timah Tbk Health Car visited the people of Puput Village, Simpang Katis District, Central Bangka Regency, Bangka Belitung Islands Province, Thursday (06/07/2023).
Even though it was raining, it didn't dampen the enthusiasm of the people to come to check their health. As many as 120 residents seemed enthusiastic about taking advantage of the free health services from PT Timah Tbk.
"Alhamdullilah, as many as 120 of our residents had their health checked with the health examination program from PT Timah Tbk. Hopefully, this program will continue for the community," said the village head of Puput Zulkarnaen.
Zulkarnaen said that the presence of the Healthy Car has been long awaited by the residents of their village. This can be seen from the enthusiasm of residents who come to check their health.
"We can see this by the high enthusiasm of the residents who came for treatment. What's more, I saw earlier that the residents who had carried out the examination were all smiling, this shows that they are satisfied with PT Timah's services," said Zulkarnaen.
According to him, the benefits of PT Timah Tbk's CSR program have been felt by the people in their village. Not only health services but also various other social programs have been carried out by members of the MIND ID mining industry holding.
"PT Timah's programs have really touched the people, apart from that, a lot of assistance has also flowed into our village, such as assistance with religious facilities, basic food assistance for underprivileged residents, and yesterday also assisted with sacrificial animals. Thank God it was very useful, and we are very grateful for all the assistance that has been given to our residents," he said.
He assesses that the CSR program implemented by PT Timah Tbk has directly benefited the community, its social programs are also carried out in a sustainable manner.
"From year to year the programs from PT Timah are getting better, we hope programs like this will continue. Because frankly, the perceived benefits can be seen with the naked eye and are very touching. Anyway, PT Timah is the best," he said.
Meanwhile, Afifah (65), one of the residents who took part in the health check, was also very happy to be able to have her health checked at the PT Timah Tbk Health Car. He experienced several complaints such as numb feet, high cholesterol, and sugar levels.
"Alhamdulillah, the service is good. I am very happy to be able to do an examination at this Healthy Car because it is free and also satisfying. Thank you PT Timah for providing free health services in our village," he said.
