WEST KUNDUR — Residents of Sawang Sub-District, Kundur Barat District, enthusiastically visited PT Timah Tbk's healthy car at Asmara Dewi Beach, Sawang Village, Monday (14/8/2023). As many as 170 residents took advantage of free health services from PT Timah Tbk.
Apart from providing health services, PT Timah Tbk also handed over 20 additional food packages for stunted children in the Sawang Village. This is the company's effort to support the handling of stunting in the company's operational areas.
The presence of the PT Timah Tbk Health Car has indeed been awaited by residents who want to have a free health check. This was conveyed by one of the residents, Jemah (85) a resident of the football field in the Sawang sub-district.
"I am very happy that PT Timah Tbk can hold medical activities here because besides being close, there is also no cost because it is free. It's also close to home. Hopefully this activity can continue," said Jemah.
In the same vein, Satar said that he was not only enthusiastic about taking part in the free medical check-up, but other residents were also the same. Because this makes it easier for them to check their health.
"We can see here that the residents are very enthusiastic about participating in this Healthy Car activity to get health services to determine their health condition. So that we can maintain a healthy lifestyle to be able to carry out our daily activities. We hope that PT Timah's healthy car can return to Sawang Village," said this fisherman.
Sawang Sub-District Head, Azman appreciates PT Timah Tbk's Health Car for providing health services to its people. Apart from providing health services, PT Timah also provides additional food for stunted children in the Sawang Village.
"We are very happy and support PT Timah's healthy car activities, because it helps the community to obtain health services. Of course this is very helpful for both the community and the Kelurahan," he said.
Yusufian, who was present, was surprised to see the enthusiasm of the people who wanted to get health services from PT Timah's Health Car.
"I thank PT Timah for presenting a healthy car in the Sawang Village. The community is very happy and enthusiastic about getting health services, around 170 people have received health services. PT Timah also provides 20 additional meal packages for stunted children," he said.
PT Timah Tbk's Healthy Car health service was also attended by Members of the Riau Islands Provincial DPRD from Commission 4 Taufik. He appreciated the health services provided by PT Timah Tbk.
"In this way, it is hoped that the community can be helped to get optimal health services and also reduce medical costs. Hopefully, apart from healthy car activities, PT Timah will also continue to carry out other social activities on an ongoing basis to help relieve the community," he said.
