PANGKALPINANG -- PT TIMAH (Persero) Tbk has once again demonstrated its commitment to supporting education by reopening registration for the PT TIMAH Tbk Scholarship Class Program at SMAN 1 for the 2026/2027 academic year.
This fully funded high school scholarship program is intended for high-achieving students from low-income families within the company’s operational areas. Registration for the program is scheduled to open on March 2.
The PT TIMAH Tbk Scholarship Class Program is part of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives in education, aimed at improving the quality of human resources in the region.
Launched in 2000, the program has produced more than 800 alumni who are now contributing across various professional fields.
Through the Scholarship Class Program at SMAN 1 Pemali, selected students will receive comprehensive educational support free of charge, including tuition, dormitory accommodation, and other supporting facilities.
This initiative is expected to provide broader access for children in the company’s operational areas to pursue senior high school education without financial barriers.
Department Head of Corporate Communication at PT TIMAH (Persero) Tbk, Anggi Siahaan, stated that the scholarship program reflects the company’s commitment to developing a competitive and high-quality young generation in preparation for Indonesia’s Golden Generation 2045.
“Education is the key to improving people’s quality of life. Through the PT Timah Scholarship Class Program, the company wants to provide equal opportunities for local children to obtain better education,” he said.
The PT Timah Scholarship Class Program has become a regular corporate agenda as part of the company’s long-term commitment to regional development. In addition to focusing on economic and environmental aspects, the company also places strong emphasis on improving the quality of public education.
