PANGKALPINANG — PT TIMAH (Persero) Tbk’s 50th Anniversary Service Month, held at Graha Timah in Taman Sari District, Pangkalpinang City, on Saturday (August 22, 2026), was warmly welcomed by the community. Hundreds of residents took advantage of various social and healthcare services provided by the company as part of the “Timah untuk Rakyat” (Timah for the People) program.
The Service Month is one of the activities marking PT TIMAH’s golden anniversary, providing direct services to the community, including mass circumcision, free health check-ups, and blood donation.
Community enthusiasm was evident from the high level of participation throughout the event. A total of 151 children took part in the mass circumcision program, while 163 residents received free health check-ups. Enthusiasm was also high for the blood donation drive, which collected 235 bags of blood.

The 50th Anniversary Service Month in Pangkalpinang was also attended by representatives of the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda) within the Pangkalpinang City Government, Assistant for Economic and Development Affairs of the Pangkalpinang City Regional Secretariat Juhaini, PT TIMAH (Persero) Tbk Division Head of CSR Rahmat Taufik, and Committee Chair Wijaya.
Assistant for Economic and Development Affairs of the Pangkalpinang City Regional Secretariat Juhaini said PT TIMAH’s Service Month reflected the company’s social commitment to the community.
“Activities like this demonstrate that the company’s presence is not solely focused on commercial activities, but also reflects its concern for the community and the social environment around it,” Juhaini said.
She said regional development requires collaboration among various stakeholders, including the government, businesses, the Indonesian Armed Forces (TNI), the Indonesian National Police (Polri), social institutions, community organizations, and the public.
“Regional development cannot be carried out by the government alone. It requires collaboration between the government, businesses, TNI, Polri, social institutions, community organizations, and all elements of society. Therefore, I hope the synergy between the Pangkalpinang City Government and PT TIMAH can continue to be strengthened and enhanced,” she added.
Juhaini also extended her congratulations to PT TIMAH Tbk on its 50th anniversary. She expressed hope that the company, which has been present and operating in Bangka Belitung, would continue to benefit the community and contribute to regional development.
“Happy 50th anniversary to PT TIMAH Tbk. May PT TIMAH continue to thrive, grow, provide greater benefits, and remain an important part of the development of Pangkalpinang City and the Bangka Belitung Islands Province,” she concluded.
Chairman of the Pangkalpinang chapter of the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI), Muhammad Iqbal, expressed his appreciation for the high level of community participation as well as PT TIMAH’s continued commitment to organizing blood donation drives in collaboration with PMI.
“We appreciate this activity, particularly the collaboration with PMI for the mass blood donation drive, with a target of approximately 200 bags of blood. Every year, we partner with PT TIMAH, and hopefully this collaboration will continue to develop well in the future,” Iqbal said.
According to him, the blood donation drive held as part of the Service Month was not merely part of the company’s anniversary celebration, but also provided tangible benefits to the community by helping maintain adequate blood supplies.
