WEST BANGKA -- Blood donation in PT Timah Tbk Service Month which was held in West Bangka Regency was attended by various elements of society including the police. A total of 47 blood bags were collected in this activity.
West Bangka Police Chief AKBP Ade Zamrah and his personnel participated in donating blood in a series of activities to welcome the 47th anniversary of PT Timah Tbk which was held at the Multipurpose Building, Muntok District, Thursday (20/7/2023).
PT Timah Tbk also cooperates with West Bangka PMI to carry out this blood donation. By donating blood, it is hoped that it can help people in need.
West Bangka Police Chief Ade Zamrah after the blood donation said that this blood donation activity was very beneficial for the community. Especially for those who need blood.
"This activity is very beneficial for the community so that the community feels the positive presence of PT Timah Tbk. The West Bangka Police are very supportive of this activity and we hope that this synergy and collaboration can continue," he said.
In the same vein, Indra, a resident of Jarapel Sungaibaru, Mentok District, admitted that he regularly takes part in blood donor activities during PT Timah Tbk's Service Month.
"This is the second time to donate blood with PT Timah. Apart from helping others, it's time to donate. We are very happy to be able to participate, apart from being festive, we are also friendly with PT Timah employees," explained Indra.
Similar to Haris Budiman (42), one of the staff at the Mentok class 2A detention center, admitted that he often donates blood because he wants to help others.
"PT Timah Tbk routinely conducts blood donation. We, as stakeholders, always support this activity. Hopefully, the blood we provide can be of benefit to people in need," he explained.
Meanwhile, PMI West Bangka Volunteer Deputy Chairperson Deri Ariyandi admitted that PT Timah Tbk collaborates every year to carry out blood donations with West Bangka PMI.
"Every year PT Timah Tbk always collaborates with PMI to carry out blood drives. PMI thanks PT Timah for working with PMI West Bangka. We hope this activity can continue," he said. (*)
