As a company that prioritizes sustainable development, PT Timah views that education is the main foundation for creating superior, competitive, and characterized human resources (HR).
This is also in line with the fourth Presidential Asta Cita on Human Resource Development through improving the quality of education, health, and access to technology.
For this reason, the company consistently carries out Social and Environmental Responsibility (CSR) programs in the education sector, ranging from scholarships, construction of learning facilities, teacher training, support for the Merdeka Belajar program to supporting free nutritious food programs for students.

PT Timah's TJSL programs implemented in the education sector include educational scholarships for students in Bangka Belitung Islands Province, Riau Province and Riau Islands Province through the Pemali Boarding School program. Since 2000 PT Timah has provided high school level education scholarships for 886 people.
In addition, PT Timah also provides scholarships for students who pass the SNMPTN, SBMPTN, and SPAN PTKIN for PT Timah Scholarship Class Program students, TNI POLRI Sons and Daughters scholarships and AKIPBA student scholarships.
PT Timah also supports internship and field work practice programs for students to directly see the business processes run by the company.
