From Financing to Marketing, PT TIMAH Supports MSMEs in Growing and Thriving

PANGKALPINANG -- PT TIMAH (Persero) Tbk continues to drive local economic growth by strengthening the Micro and Small Enterprise (MSE) sector. Through its Micro and Small Business Funding Program (PUMK), the Company not only provides financial assistance but also offers various development programs to help entrepreneurs expand their businesses and enhance their competitiveness.

The PUMK Program is one of PT TIMAH’s contributions to supporting community economic empowerment in its operational areas. The program encompasses business financing, training, mentoring, product promotion facilitation, and the provision of production equipment for fostered business partners.

These efforts are aimed at helping MSMEs expand their market reach, improve product quality, and strengthen business capacity so they can grow sustainably.

Throughout 2025, a total of 154 PT TIMAH fostered partners participated in various exhibitions and trade fairs. These events provided MSME entrepreneurs with opportunities to introduce their products to a wider audience while opening doors to new partnerships and business networks.

By participating in exhibitions, business owners not only gain broader market access but also improve the competitiveness of their products in an increasingly dynamic business environment.

In addition to supporting product promotion, PT TIMAH also focuses on enhancing the capabilities of entrepreneurs. A total of 112 fostered partners participated in various training programs designed to strengthen their business skills.

The training covered a wide range of important topics, including business management, financial management, marketing, product development, business licensing, and business strategies to help MSMEs grow and compete in broader markets.

These training initiatives are expected to foster a more adaptive entrepreneurial mindset, enabling business owners to seize market opportunities and navigate business challenges more effectively.

PT TIMAH also helps improve MSME productivity by providing production support equipment. In 2025, a total of 24 fostered partners received business equipment tailored to their specific operational needs.

This assistance is expected to improve work efficiency, maintain product quality, and increase production capacity, enabling entrepreneurs to meet growing market demand.

One of PT TIMAH’s fostered partners, Serli Heryani, said her business has significantly increased its production capacity and expanded its marketing reach since joining the Company’s fostered partner program.

Through the PUMK Program, which includes financial assistance, training, and business mentoring, her business under the brand Mama Naya Bolen has become increasingly well known among consumers. She has also been able to increase production capacity with additional business equipment, including an oven and a display showcase purchased through PUMK loan funding.

“Alhamdulillah, since becoming a fostered partner, my business has continued to grow. Sales have also increased, and this year’s holiday season sales were significantly higher than the previous year,” Serli said.

Beyond financial support, Serli also benefited from PT TIMAH’s training programs, particularly in business financial management. The knowledge gained has helped her better manage cash flow and plan business expansion more strategically.

“I am very grateful to PT TIMAH for helping develop my business. Without this program, my business might not have grown to where it is today,” she said.

Similarly, Asriyani, owner of Asri Rusip, shared that her business has also benefited from PT TIMAH’s support. Last year, she received a refrigerator from the Company, helping her increase production capacity and maintain the quality of her products, which are becoming increasingly popular among consumers.

“Alhamdulillah, I received a refrigerator from PT TIMAH Tbk. My old refrigerator was no longer cooling properly, making it difficult to store large quantities of rusip. With the new refrigerator, I can store more inventory and maintain product quality,” she explained.

With PT TIMAH’s support, Asri hopes to continue increasing production capacity to meet demand from souvenir shops, resellers, and loyal customers.

“Thank you, PT TIMAH Tbk. I wish the Company continued success and growth, and I hope it will continue helping and providing benefits to other fostered partners as well,” she said.

Through its integrated empowerment programs, PT TIMAH hopes that its fostered MSMEs will not only survive but also grow into independent, resilient, and competitive businesses capable of supporting sustainable economic growth. (*)
