Free Mudik with PT Timah Facilitates Hundreds of Residents who Want to Go Home to Bangka, Belitung and Tanjung Balai Karimun

PANGKALPINANG -- PT Timah together with the Ministry of SOEs held another Free Mudik 2025 to welcome Eid al-Fitr 1446 Hijri. Through the free homecoming program with PT Timah 'Mudik Aman Sampai Tujuan' will deliver hundreds of residents back to their hometowns.

The 2025 free homecoming for members of the MIND ID Mining Industry Holding provides 700 quota participants with the destination of Bangka (Pangkalpinang, Muntok, Toboali, Belinyu), Belitung (Belitung and East Belitung) and Riau Islands (Tanjung Balai Karimun) with a quota of 60 people.

As for departures at several points starting from Yogyakarta, Malang, Jakarta, Bandung, and Palembang. The first departure estimated will begin on March 17.

Free Homecoming with PT Timah 'Mudik Aman Sampai Tujuan' is intended for students and the general public. Mudik will use bus and ship transportation.

For this reason, PT Timah Tbk also collaborates with the Bangka Student Association (ISBA), the Belitong Family Student Association (IKPB), and KPMKR (Riau Islands Student Family) in implementing this free homecoming program.

PT Timah Corporate Communication Department Head Anggi Siahaan said, this Free Homecoming is a routine program carried out by PT Timah to help people who want to return to their hometowns and gather with their families on Eid al-Fitr.

Anggi said, free homecoming is a collaborative activity with the Ministry of SOEs to help people go home safely, comfortably and more friendly.

“The company wants to be part of the happiness of the people who celebrate Eid with their families. With this free homecoming program, the company hopes to help those who want to go home without being constrained by transportation costs,” she said.

In addition, this free homecoming program is expected to divert private vehicle users to public vehicles that meet safety standards. In addition, the reduced use of private vehicles will also reduce emissions. (*)
