PANGKALPINANG -- PT TIMAH Tbk's Mobile Health Clinic program continues to expand access to free healthcare services for communities across the company's operational areas.
As of June 2026, a total of 682 residents had benefited from PT TIMAH's Mobile Health Clinic services, which have been conducted in various locations throughout the Bangka Belitung Islands Province.
The program provides free healthcare services, including general medical checkups, blood pressure and blood tests, medical consultations, and the distribution of medication based on patients' needs.
One of the beneficiaries, Liu Kim Phin (62), a resident of Merawang Village, Bangka Regency, said the Mobile Health Clinic has been a tremendous help to the community. According to him, the free healthcare services allow residents to receive medical checkups without having to worry about the cost.
"PT TIMAH's Mobile Health Clinic is a great help because we can receive medical treatment free of charge. Normally, going to the hospital involves expenses, especially for people from lower-income families like us," Liu said.
He added that residents are able to access a variety of healthcare services on-site.
"Here, we can get free health checkups, including blood pressure checks, blood tests, and other medical examinations. I hope PT TIMAH's Mobile Health Clinic will continue operating in different regions because it is truly beneficial for communities across the Bangka Belitung Islands," he added.
PT TIMAH's Mobile Health Clinic also serves communities on Belitung Island, including residents of Padang Jaya in Padang Village, East Belitung Regency.
The free healthcare services have been warmly welcomed by the local community. Residents visited the clinic to receive general health checkups, medical consultations, and free medication.
One of the beneficiaries, Komariah (53), expressed her gratitude for being able to once again take advantage of PT TIMAH's Mobile Health Clinic, which she believes has brought healthcare services closer to the community.
"Alhamdulillah, the results of my health check were all good. I don't have high cholesterol or high uric acid," Komariah said with a smile.
Although this was not her first time using the free healthcare service, Komariah hopes the Mobile Health Clinic program will continue to serve communities in the future.
"The service is still excellent, the staff are friendly, and the medications are complete. From the beginning until now, the Mobile Health Clinic has always been great. I hope this free medical service continues," she said.
PT TIMAH's Mobile Health Clinic program has been implemented continuously across various regions in the Bangka Belitung Islands Province and the Riau Islands Province.
Throughout 2025, the program provided healthcare services to 7,114 residents.
The Mobile Health Clinic is one of PT TIMAH's initiatives to help communities gain easier and more affordable access to healthcare services, particularly for residents who face financial constraints or have limited access to medical facilities. (*)
