CENTRAL BANGKA – Asdarroni (55) could not contain his joy when he received prosthetic limbs from PT Timah Tbk at his residence in South Cambai, Namang District, Central Bangka Regency.
It has been four years that Asdarroni has only sat in his wheelchair, because his left leg was amputated due to diabetes.
Not many words were spoken from him, only gratitude and emotion that he could convey.
"Alhamdullilah, I am very happy to get this prosthetic leg. Because, so far I can only sit in a wheelchair, and can't go anywhere. Thank you very much to PT Timah for providing this prosthetic leg for me," said Asdarroni.
Meanwhile, Asdarroni's wife, Ariana (43) said that for the past four years her husband has often felt upset because he could not carry out his usual activities.
"For the past four years, my husband has only been in a wheelchair and unable to do any activity. Even though he used to be very active, sometimes going to the garden and sometimes going to sea. But after the amputation, my husband got bored just being at home," said Ariana.
Ariana said that since her husband's leg was amputated, she could no longer make a living because she had to take care of her husband.
She was also happy with the help of the prosthetic leg from PT Tin Tbk. Because, it can make her husband's dream come true to be able to walk.
"I am very happy with the help of these prosthetic legs, hopefully with these prosthetic legs it can make my husband active, because so far he has wanted to travel," she said.
In the same vein, the Community Social Worker (PSM) of Cambai Selatan Village, Zelina, appreciated PT Timah Tbk for being responsive in helping the community. She said that his party had only just proposed this prosthetic leg.
"This is the first time we have submitted this to PT Timah and thank God PT Timah's response was very fast to help our residents. And it has been proven that today the prosthetic leg has been installed, and hopefully it will be useful for Pak Asdarroni," she said.
