KARIMUN -- MSME actors are currently required to be digital literate in order to develop their business. For this reason, PT Timah Tbk continues to encourage MSMEs, especially the foster partners of PT Timah Tbk to continue to improve their capabilities.
As a state-owned mining company, PT Timah Tbk does not only provide capital for MSMEs through the Micro Small Business Funding program (PUMK). However, PT Timah Tbk also provides guidance and helps with marketing.
One of the coaching efforts carried out by the company for fostered partners is by providing training for MSME actors. It is important to realize that the challenges of SMEs in the digital era are getting higher.
For this reason, PT Timah Tbk provides digital-based MSME Financial Reporting Management Training for fostered partners from the Karimun and Meranti Islands regions. This training collaborated with Karimun University (UK) which was held in the Holiday Hotel meeting room, Wednesday (31/08/2022).
This training aims to improve human resources who are strong and excel in the economic field, especially now that they have entered the digital era. So it is hoped that with this training, MSME actors will be able to develop by following the trend that is getting faster.
It is realized that at this time, there are still many MSME actors who have not been able to make financial management reports properly and seem to be careless, so that their business does not seem to develop.
Through this activity, it is hoped that it can help improve the skills of fostered partners in the field of financial reporting both manually and digitally. So that it helps business development and has a positive economic impact.
Speakers from the Karimun University Fauzan Haqiqi S,E., M.M said that the activities carried out by PT Timah were very good to support the development of MSME actors so that they were more able to compete with MSME actors from various regions.
"Especially those that are digital-based, because as we know there are still many MSME actors in Karimun Regency who report manually and have not taken advantage of digital financial reporting, so data loss often occurs," he explained.
Meanwhile, one of the fostered partners of PT Timah Tbk Yasrul admitted that so far he has not implemented business financial management properly, especially digital-based ones.
"So far I have only recorded it in my book so I don't forget it. However, after participating in the training, I realized and understood the importance of preparing good and correct management reports," he said.
Yasrul along with other partners appreciated PT Timah Tbk for caring and fostering them to improve their abilities.
"Thanks to PT Timah for caring for its foster partners by making training programs like this, so that we all understand and are more technology literate," he said.
