For Two Consecutive Years, PT TIMAH Tbk has received the Top 50 MID Capitalization Public Listed Company Award at The 15th IICD CG Conference and Award 2024

JAKARTA - PT TIMAH Tbk (TINS) has once again been awarded the Top 50 MID Capitalization Public Listed Company recognition at the prestigious 15th IICD Corporate Governance (CG) Conference and Award 2024, organized by the Indonesian Institute for Corporate Directorship (IICD) in collaboration with Media Investortrust.

The award was presented to Dian Racmandani, AVP Investor Relation of PT TIMAH, at the Pullman Hotel in Jakarta on Monday (November 25, 2024).

The 15th IICD Corporate Governance (CG) Conference and Award 2024 recognizes public companies that have successfully implemented Good Corporate Governance (GCG) principles and have not been involved in any cases contrary to GCG principles in the previous year.

This year’s theme, “Taking Indonesia Corporate Governance to the Top ASEAN Level,” aligns with IICD’s desire to play an active role in enhancing corporate governance standards in Indonesia, ensuring they align with best practices at both the ASEAN and global levels.

In 2023, PT TIMAH Tbk also received the Top 50 Middle Capitalization Public Listed Company (Mid Cap PCLS) award for its best corporate governance practices in the CG Best Overall category.

IICD Managing Director, Vita Diani Satiadhi, explained that the aim of this award is to encourage more companies in Indonesia to strengthen the implementation of GCG, as well as maintain transparency and accountability in all aspects of their operations.

“We hope that through this award, more companies will set an example in implementing good corporate governance, providing a positive impact on society and the Indonesian economy,” said Vita.

The event also awarded companies based on the ASEAN CG Scorecard 2023, evaluating 200 listed companies in Indonesia, categorized into Big Cap (large companies) and Mid Cap (medium companies).

The assessment was conducted by 10 independent assessors, who are experts in GCG. IICD’s evaluation considered several categories, including Leadership in Corporate Governance, Best CG Overall, Best Sustainability and Resilience, and Best Disclosure & Transparency.

IICD and IIPG Chairman, Rudiantara, expressed his appreciation to all award winners. “We are awarding companies that have successfully implemented good governance. We hope that this award will encourage other companies to improve their GCG quality and contribute to enhancing Indonesia’s competitiveness at the ASEAN level,” said Rudiantara.

Meanwhile, PT TIMAH Tbk's Department Head of Corporate Communication, Anggi Budiman Siahaan, stated that PT TIMAH remains committed to implementing Good Corporate Governance (GCG) principles throughout its business processes.

Anggi emphasized that implementing GCG is crucial for maintaining the company's sustainability and improving its performance.

“Good governance is not only vital for the company’s sustainability but also for creating positive added value for society and the surrounding environment. Management is strongly committed to implementing GCG principles in our business,” Anggi explained.

This award further strengthens PT TIMAH's position as a company committed to upholding Good Corporate Governance, creating a greater positive impact not just for the company, but also for society and the Indonesian economy. (*)
