EAST BELITUNG - Selinssing Reclamation Village continues to improve and add new facilities. Now, the newest is Kampong Reclamation, which is managed by PT Timah Tbk together with the Mitra Jaya Selinsing Village-Owned Enterprise (BUMDes), which already has a floating cafe.
PT Timah Tbk in collaboration with the Mitra Jaya Selinsing Village-Owned Enterprise (BumDes) built a floating cafe above the ex-mining area.
This floating cafe which is dominated by brown color is very iconic, visitors can enjoy food while relaxing in the floating cafe while enjoying the beauty of the area.
Using plastic drum pads as a support for the wooden building above, Floating Cafe will give a unique sensation when visitors want to relax.
There are two gazebos in the floating cafe area, so it is certain to be a new photo spot location for visitors later.
Head of BumDes MJS, Diki Afriansyah, after the floating cafe is finished, it will be used for the development of their Bumdes canteen.
"The aim of the plan is to develop a village-owned canteen, such as selling drinks and snacks (coffee house)," said Diki Afriansyah.
Diki said they would start opening this floating cafe early next year. Nevertheless, this floating cafe has been completed and has become a new attraction.
Considering that this is a floating cafe, his party limits visitors from being able to be on top of the cafe, namely only around 50 adults can go up.
"The maximum capacity limit for 50 adults at the same time goes up there, later it will be alternated because it also takes into account the capacity," he explained.
In addition, Diki hopes that the addition of these facilities can increase employment opportunities for the surrounding community and also increase the income of Bumdes and village PAD.
"For the management of this floating canteen, our village-owned company will work with PKK women in Selinssing village," he explained.
Apart from that, Kampong Reclamation also provides interesting photo spots such as spilled coffee and several other icons.
In the Selinssing Reclamation Village, tourists can also be spoiled with games such as water ducks. In addition, you can see directly the process of agriculture, plantations, and nurseries.
"Besides visiting Selinssing Reclamation Village, we can also learn about managing ex-mining land. According to the concept, this Reclamation Village has the concept of edu-ecotourism," he said.
