Five Facilities of Worship in Bangka Regency Receive Aid from PT Timah Tbk

BANGKA - To increase the comfort of the congregation who worship in the month of Ramadan, PT Timah Tbk handed over assistance to five houses of worship in Belinyu District, Bangka Regency, Thursday (14/4/2022).

The houses of worship that received assistance were three mosques and two prayer rooms. This assistance was handed over by the Head of the Bangka Marine Production Unit (UPLB) Tonggo P Situmorang, in the BWD room of the UPLB office in Belinyu District.

The mosques that received the assistance included the Nurul Mukminin Mosque in Deniang Village, Baitur Rohman Mosque in Bedukang Hamlet, Nurul HIdayah Kuto Panji Belinyu Mosque, Al Ikhlas Musala, Padang Siput Village, Air Jukung Village, and Al Amin PMD Musala PMD Air Jukung Village.

The chairman of the mosque, Nurul Hidayah Bustami Syamsuri (77), said the assistance provided by PT Timah Tbk would be used for the construction of a new mosque.

"Thank God, thank you to PT Timah for the assistance provided. We are very grateful for this assistance. Later, we will use this assistance for the cost of building a mosque," said Bustami.

He said the mosque, which was built since 1937, had never been repaired. Only dome and roof repairs.

"There has been no change in the shape of this mosque, only the repair of the dome and the replacement of the leaking roof. The plan is that after Eid al-Fitr, we will start working on the construction of the mosque and we will do the work in stages, considering that the mosque is always used for congregational Friday prayers," he said.

"We hope that in the future hopefully there will be more assistance from PT Timah for our mosque," he hoped.

Similarly, the Chairman of Baitur Rohman Mosque in Bedukang Hamlet, Deniang Village, Ustaz Marzuki, expressed his gratitude for the assistance provided by PT Timah Tbk.

"Thank you PT Timah for the assistance provided, hopefully with this assistance it can become a charity field for all of us. We will also use this assistance for the cost of purchasing materials to rehabilitate the mosque," said Marzuki.*
