PONGKAR - The safety of fishermen is one of the concerns of PT Timah Tbk, therefore PT Timah Tbk again handed over life jackets to fishermen in Pongkar Village on Pongkar Beach, Thursday (31/03/2022).
The 30 packs of life jackets were handed over directly by the head of the Production Unit, Ari Wibowo.
In addition to handing over life jackets, on this occasion, socialization was also carried out to the public regarding the plan to install a 100 meter abrasion resistant embankment at Pongkar Beach.
The Chief Fisherman of Pongkar Village, Rahim, expressed his appreciation to PT Timah Tbk for paying attention to the safety of fishermen.
According to him, life jackets are very important as a means of safety while at sea. Where life jackets are really needed by fishermen.
"On behalf of the fishermen in Pongkar Village, I would like to thank PT Timah for their concern for the safety of fishermen by providing life jackets," he said.
Meanwhile, the Acting Head of Pongkar Village, Murhalim, appreciated the company's attention and programs towards the people of Pongkar Village which had been felt so far.
"Especially now, apart from providing a life jacket, PT Timah will also install an abrasion containment embankment and for that we thank you. We hope that in the future PT Timah can be more victorious and successful so that its contribution to the community can continue and continue to increase," he said.
