PANGKALPINANG -- The 49th Anniversary celebration of PT Timah Tbk was filled with joy and excitement. Carrying the theme “For the Red and White,” PT Timah organized a series of Healthy Week events simultaneously across six operational areas starting in July, with Pangkalpinang as the final stop on August 31.
Tens of thousands of people experienced togetherness through the Healthy Week of PT Timah’s 49th Anniversary, which took place in Kundur Island, Riau Islands Province, continued to East Belitung, Mentok (West Bangka), Belinyu (Bangka), Toboali (South Bangka), and concluded in Pangkalpinang City.
PT Timah’s 49th Anniversary Healthy Week was a moment for the company to strengthen ties with the community. Thousands joined in the excitement of weekend activities.
The Healthy Week series was not only about sports but also served as a space to foster stronger connections between the company and the people. The presence of MSME bazaars in every location also helped boost the local economy.
The excitement grew with thousands of prizes distributed, ranging from household items to dozens of motorcycles as the grand prizes for lucky participants.
The Healthy Week event has become an annual tradition held by PT Timah during the company’s anniversary as a way to share happiness with the community.
It’s no wonder PT Timah’s Healthy Week has become one of the most anticipated community events, as this member of the Mining Industry Holding MIND ID also handed out hundreds of prizes at each location.
Defi, a resident of Toboali, said that Healthy Week is a yearly event that people look forward to, as PT Timah almost always organizes such activities for the community.
“This event is always highly anticipated because we know PT Timah’s programs are always festive. So today we’re not only getting healthy, but also having fun, and hopefully winning prizes too,” she said.
She hopes PT Timah continues to thrive so that the company can keep holding events like this, which not only entertain people but also drive the local economy.
Similarly, Lufi, a resident of Gunung Muda, Bangka Regency, said he was very enthusiastic about participating in PT Timah’s Healthy Week. He arrived early in the morning with his friends.
“Yes, I’m really excited because it’s on a holiday, and there are activities like a fun walk and zumba, so we can exercise too. If we’re lucky, we might win prizes, but this is really fun and definitely an event people look forward to. Hopefully PT Timah will host more of these activities more often,” he said.
Likewise, Deni, a resident of Teluk Rubiah Village, West Bangka, who won the grand prize during the Healthy Week in Mentok, was delighted to bring home his reward. He appreciated PT Timah Tbk for hosting what he called a much-anticipated event.
