JAKARTA -- In celebration of its 49th anniversary, PT Timah Tbk once again held the "Bulan Bakti" (Month of Service) program as part of the company’s commitment to making a real contribution to society. The event took place at PT Timah Tbk’s Jakarta Office on Wednesday (July 16, 2025).
The series of activities held in Jakarta during the Bulan Bakti of PT Timah’s 49th Anniversary included mass circumcision, blood donation, and free health checkups. This annual agenda is a long-standing tradition of the company.
For its 49th anniversary, PT Timah is carrying the theme “Untuk Merah Putih” (For the Red and White), with events held across various operational areas including the Bangka Belitung Islands, Riau Province, Jakarta, and the Riau Islands.
The Bulan Bakti program in Jakarta was enthusiastically welcomed by the community and stakeholders. A total of 36 children participated in the mass circumcision, 46 blood bags were collected during the blood drive, and 61 individuals took part in the free health checkups, involving both internal and external participants. The eye examination service also received a positive response, with over 50 people taking advantage of the service, many of whom were prescribed glasses.
In organizing the Jakarta Bulan Bakti program, PT Timah Tbk collaborated with the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) and National Police (POLRI), as well as providing free general and eye health services. This initiative is more than just an annual routine; it is a concrete form of appreciation for the company’s long journey and growth alongside the community.
Corporate Secretary of PT Timah Tbk, Rendi Kurniawan, who officially opened the 49th Anniversary Bulan Bakti event in Jakarta, expressed his gratitude for the support of all parties who helped make the program a success.
“We hope the children who participated in today’s circumcision grow up to be healthy and strong. To those who had their health checked, may you be granted continued wellness and prosperity. And to our blood donors, thank you for your care and sincerity—because a drop of blood donated today can be a lifeline for someone in need,” said Rendi.
Rendi also expressed hope that the 49th Anniversary Bulan Bakti activities would strengthen the relationship between PT Timah Tbk and the community. PT Timah remains committed to contributing to society through various social initiatives. (*)
