PANGKALPINANG – PT Timah's Mobile Health Service continues to deliver healthcare services to communities in the Bangka Belitung Islands and Riau Islands provinces, reaching remote areas to provide much-needed medical care.
Launched in 2021, the Mobile Health program by PT TIMAH Tbk has grown steadily to reach more people in remote regions with limited access to healthcare facilities. The program aims to provide free medical services and bring healthcare closer to communities within PT TIMAH Tbk's operational areas.
In 2024, PT Timah's Mobile Health Service reached 5,727 people across 52 locations in the Bangka Belitung and Riau Islands provinces, significantly increasing from the 4,371 people served at 48 locations in 2023.
The free healthcare services offered include basic health check-ups, general medical consultations, blood sugar and cholesterol testing, and health education on healthy lifestyles and disease prevention.
The program aims to help communities maintain their health and raise awareness about the importance of healthy living. In 2024, the service catered to various operational areas, including Bangka Island with 3,617 people, Belitung Island with 1,392 people, and Kundur (Riau Islands) with 718 people.
The arrival of PT Timah's Mobile Health Service is always met with enthusiasm. The service reaches not only remote villages but also public facilities, often in collaboration with various stakeholders to organize these free healthcare events.
Anggi Budiman Siahaan, Department Head of Corporate Communication at PT TIMAH Tbk, emphasized that the Mobile Health program is part of the company's efforts to improve community health around its mining operations.
