WEST BANGKA -- To support the creativity of young people who are members of the Marching Band. PT Timah Tbk helped facilitate the West Bangka Menumbing Gita Marching Band to develop this musical art.
The Gita Menumbing Marching Band has always received support from PT Timah Tbk, starting from the training facilities to the facilities and infrastructure.
The Marching Band, which consists of 28 people consisting of students, often practices at the Muntok Metallurgical Unit's sports facilities.
Shortly, the Banda Gita Menumbing Marching will take part in the "Street Parade Festival Marching Band Competition and the Regent's Cup Show Competition (ULG) which will be held in Toboali, South Bangka on December 18, 2022.
Chairman of the West Bangka Indonesian Drum Band Association (PDBI) Cecep Suryagama said that so far PT Timah has supported the Gita Menumbing Marching Band a lot.
"Starting from uniforms, drum band instruments, and training grounds, PT Timah supports MB Gita Menumbing," he said.
Field Commander Marching Band Gita Menumbing Rizal admits that he often appears in various events.
"We, the Gita Menumbing Marching Band, often perform at national day activities such as the Indonesian Independence Day, the August carnival, and other important moments," said Rizal.
Meanwhile, percussionist Oktavia Nurhuda hopes that the Marching Band will be able to give the best performance at events that often occur on Indonesian Independence Day in West Bangka.
