PANGKALPINANG -- The Bukit Baru Housing Complex of PT Timah Tbk has become one of the favorite areas for exercise for the residents of Pangkalpinang City.
It has many shady trees and wide roads, making it comfortable for athletes to do light exercises such as jogging along Jalan Komplek.
No less interesting, besides being able to jog in the Bukit Baru Complex, PT Timah Tbk is also equipped with sports facilities that can be used by the general public.
This facility is located in the Child-Friendly Playroom (RBRA) of Tins Green Garden Forestry which provides various rides for children's games as well as tools for exercise.
Ridho Permana (16), one of the visitors who regularly jogs in the Bukit Baru housing complex, said that this area is one of his favorite places.
"For almost 3 years I have been jogging here regularly, where in one week I can come here 2 to 3 times, this has become one of my favorite places," he said.
In addition to jogging, students of SMAN 4 Pangkalpinang also often take advantage of the facilities available at RBRA, such as Pull-Ups, shit Ups and so on to train their muscles.
“About 30 minutes I exercise here, I do this activity after school. At first, I was invited to go jogging here with friends, it turned out to be good when jogging here. Because the air is cool and the place is shady, it makes the jogging atmosphere here comfortable,” said Ridho.
Not only used by individuals, but this area is also part of the history of the formation of the Baryon Calisthenics community. At first, the teenagers who exercised often gathered in the Bukit Baru area. Then form a community of Baryon Calisthenics who use body weight or body as a burden.
“The history of our community stands from this place, so this area can be said to be the beginning of the formation of our community. For almost 4 years, we have routinely carried out activities here," said the Head of the Baryon Calisthenics Community, Raja Irhap.
In addition to exercising in the Bukit Baru Complex Area of ??PT Timah Tbk, this community of about 40 people also regularly exercises at Bukit Dealova, Bay Park. Apart from exercising, they are also actively campaigning for the importance of exercising.
Raja said that their community members are generally students and they regularly exercise.
"Almost every day we do activities with community friends to exercise in this new hill, except Saturday and Sunday," he said.
He hopes that in the future PT Timah Tbk can add sports facilities in this area so that more people are interested in exercising.
