BANGKA – In commemoration of the 2025 National Occupational Safety and Health (K3) Month, PT Timah organized a series of safety-themed events, including K3 Safety Drills held across all company operational areas.

The K3 Safety Drill in honor of the 2025 National K3 Month was also conducted at PT Timah’s North Bangka Area, taking place at the Mantung Dockyard in Belinyu District, Bangka Regency, on Wednesday (05/02/25).

This drill aims to enhance awareness of workplace safety and encourage the comprehensive implementation of the K3 Management System across all operational sectors to achieve Zero Fatality.

Led by North Bangka Area Division Head, Benny Pahala Hutahean, the ceremony included a reading of the Minister of Manpower’s speech, which emphasized that workplace safety is a shared responsibility and must remain a top priority in all mining activities.

PT Timah Tbk’s Corporate Communication Department Head, Anggi Siahaan, highlighted the importance of proactively addressing workplace safety risks. He stressed that mitigation and adaptation efforts must be a collective priority.

The Ministry of Manpower, as the leading authority in labor affairs, reaffirmed its commitment to human resource development and fostering a strong K3 culture.

"Let’s enhance synergy, coordination, and collaboration to strengthen the K3 culture. This effort aims to ensure that workplaces remain healthy, safe, and comfortable while striving for Zero Fatality," he stated.

In addition to the K3 Safety Drill, PT Timah’s North Bangka Area also organized a Mobile Health Service, distributed basic food aid to Mobile Health participants, and held various mining safety competitions. (*)
