On various occasions, PT Timah’s management has consistently urged business partners to uphold K3 principles in all their operational activities.
President Director of PT Timah, Ahmad Dani Virsal, emphasized that K3 implementation is not just a legal obligation but also a shared commitment to creating a safe, healthy, and productive work environment for all workers and stakeholders.
"We encourage all business partners to be more disciplined in adhering to occupational safety standards. Workplace accidents can be prevented if every individual and company is highly aware of the importance of K3," he stated.
As a concrete step in supporting K3 implementation, PT Timah regularly conducts training and awareness programs on workplace safety procedures for its business partners.
Additionally, the company carries out compliance audits on safety standards to ensure that every business partner has effectively implemented the K3 management system.
PT Timah also mandates that PJP Partner KIP operators install echosounders as monitoring tools for work slope/wall conditions to prevent the risk of ladder entrapment or collapse. Furthermore, the company requires PJO officers to submit weekly KTA/TTA reports within their supervisory areas through an online application, the Safety Management Systems (SMS).
Dani urged all business partners to enhance supervision of work procedures and foster a workplace culture that prioritizes safety. He hopes that all partners will actively contribute to creating a work environment free from accidents and occupational diseases.
"Occupational safety and health is a shared responsibility. With strong commitment from all parties, we can create a safer and more productive work environment. Let’s make K3 an integral part of our work culture," he concluded. (*)
