Enhancing Fishermen's Catch: PT Timah Provides Support to Sanggedu Fishermen Group in Beruas Village

BANGKA BARAT – To improve fishermen's catch, PT Timah has extended support to the Sanggedu Fishermen Group in Beruas Village, Kelapa Subdistrict, West Bangka Regency.

The assistance was handed over by Dikron, Section Head of Community Development Area, to the head of the fishermen group. The ceremony was witnessed by Beruas Village Head, Zuhri, at the residence of the Sanggedu Fishermen Group last week.

Muhammad Al Fadri, the head of the Sanggedu Fishermen Group, expressed gratitude for the support from PT Timah, emphasizing its importance for fishing activities.

"We, from the Sanggedu Fishermen Group, are very thankful to PT Timah for their help. This support is very much needed by the fishermen to catch fish and sustain their family economy," he said.

Fadri hopes that PT Timah's assistance will continue, enabling the group to improve their families' well-being.

"Alhamdulillah, we are very happy to receive this aid. We thank PT Timah for their support. Hopefully, this assistance will continue in the future, such as providing engines, boats, nets, and so on. We hope this will help improve the fishermen's economy here," he added.

Meanwhile, Zuhri, the Head of Beruas Village, Kelapa Subdistrict, praised PT Timah's concern for the fishermen in Beruas Village.

"We highly appreciate the assistance provided by PT Timah to our fishermen, which aligns with the food security program. Hopefully, with this assistance and the fishing equipment, our group will work harder," he said.

He also hopes that other fishermen groups in Beruas Village will receive similar support from PT Timah in the future.

"This is the first aid for our fishermen, and we will use it to support the fishing facilities and equipment that sustain their daily lives," Zuhri explained.

He expressed his hope for continued synergy between PT Timah and the village government to further assist the community.

"On behalf of the Beruas Village Government, West Bangka Regency, we pray for PT Timah's continued success, especially in supporting the economy in the Bangka Belitung Islands," he concluded. (*)
