WEST BANGKA -- PT TIMAH Tbk continues to demonstrate its commitment to supporting creativity and the active role of young people in its operational areas. Through its Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) program, the company provided assistance to two youth organizations in West Bangka: the Indonesian Youth National Committee (KNPI) West Bangka and the Daun Simpor Organization.
The assistance was handed over directly by PT TIMAH Tbk’s Division Head of Processing and Refinery, Sofian Simangunsong, at the Processing and Refinery Division Office on Tuesday (November 18, 2025).
A representative of the Daun Simpor Organization, Gilang Halifit, expressed his appreciation for the support provided by PT TIMAH Tbk. He explained that Daun Simpor, established in 2025, is an organization focused on culture and digitalization, with its main target being cultural education in schools.
“The assistance from PT TIMAH Tbk will be used to develop cultural programs and promote West Bangka tourism through digital content, such as short videos and animations. We hope PT TIMAH will continue to collaborate in strengthening and introducing local culture,” he said.
Meanwhile, the assistance for KNPI West Bangka was received by Setiawan, the Deputy Chairman of KNPI West Bangka, who stated that PT TIMAH Tbk has consistently supported various youth activities.
“PT TIMAH Tbk has made significant contributions to KNPI activities. In addition to supporting the Youth Anniversary Social Service, PT TIMAH Tbk has also supported the Socialization of the Four Pillars in collaboration with the Regional Representative Council (DPD RI). We truly feel PT TIMAH Tbk’s presence in fostering youth development,” he said.
He conveyed his appreciation and hopes for PT TIMAH Tbk to continue progressing and succeeding.
Through this support, PT TIMAH Tbk reaffirms its commitment to guiding young generations so they can create, innovate, and contribute positively to regional development. (*)
