Encouraging Cooperatives as Business Partners, PT TIMAH Inaugurates Cooperative and MSME Service Center in Kundur Island

KARIMUN -- Deputy President Director of PT TIMAH (Persero) Tbk Harry Budi Sidharta inaugurated the Cooperative and MSME Service Center for PT TIMAH’s assisted partners on Kundur Island, Karimun Regency, on Monday (9/3/2026).

The inauguration was also attended by PT TIMAH Commissioner Rizani Usman, General Manager of the Belitung-Kundur Area Wiyono, and Division Head of the Belitung Area Ronanta.

The Cooperative and MSME Service Center serves as an integrated service hub established by PT TIMAH to make it easier for cooperatives and MSMEs to obtain information, mentoring, and assistance in completing various administrative and technical requirements to become business partners with the company.

Previously, PT TIMAH had also conducted a socialization program on cooperative partnerships between PT TIMAH (Persero) Tbk and Village Cooperatives/Red and White Cooperatives as well as Mining Cooperatives in the Karimun Regency area.

Deputy President Director of PT TIMAH Harry Budi Sidharta said that the presence of this service center is expected to serve as a place where cooperatives and MSMEs can obtain faster information regarding partnership opportunities with PT TIMAH.

“We hope this service center can become a facility for cooperatives and MSMEs to receive information and direct assistance. With this place available, cooperative managers and MSME actors can more easily consult, including completing the necessary documents required to partner with PT TIMAH,” Harry said.

According to him, through this service center the company will also provide guidance for cooperatives, ranging from strengthening institutional management, improving understanding of cooperative governance, to mentoring so that cooperatives can meet the company’s partnership standards.

In addition, the presence of this service center is also expected to strengthen cross-division coordination within PT TIMAH so that the assistance process for cooperatives and MSMEs can run more effectively.

As is known, PT TIMAH continues to encourage cooperatives to become business partners of the company so they can generate economic benefits for the community in line with the company’s vision of Tin for the People.

Not only for cooperatives, this service center will also serve as an information center for MSME actors in areas surrounding the company’s operations who wish to obtain information on becoming assisted partners of PT TIMAH. (*)
