KUNDUR -- Starting a business from scratch is never easy, as it comes with various challenges, from a lack of customers to limited capital. This is the sentiment shared by Abdul Hafiz, one of PT Timah Tbk's fostered partners, when he began his Car Wash and Rent Car business, Ariansyah.
Abdul Hafiz initiated the Ariansyah Car Wash and Rent Car business located on Jalan Besar, Perayun Village, North Kundur Sub-district, with determination and perseverance. The journey of building the business, with its ups and downs, has been immeasurable.
Despite the challenges, he never gave up. With the support of his family, his business not only survived but continued to grow. This success owes much to the Micro and Small Business Funding Program (PUMK) by PT Timah Tbk, which assisted him in terms of capital.
Abdul Hafiz explained that the capital he used was initially limited, making it challenging to acquire all the necessary equipment. Financial constraints hindered his desire to complete the required equipment.
"I decided to start this business not only to provide for my family but also to create job opportunities for the local community," he said.
He explored various avenues to obtain additional capital, but due to financial limitations, his aspirations for additional funding were often delayed. Upon learning about PT Timah Tbk's PUMK program, he regained the enthusiasm to expand his business.
"Thank God, the proposal received a positive response from the company, and I finally got the capital for the car wash business. This allowed me to fulfill the equipment needs, making it easier to work and ensuring customer satisfaction," he said.
According to Hafiz, PT Timah Tbk's PUMK program significantly helped his business, providing various conveniences and benefits throughout his partnership with PT Timah.
"With the capital injection, the need for work equipment can be fulfilled. This, in turn, makes our customers more comfortable and satisfied," he remarked.
He hopes that PT Timah Tbk's PUMK program will continue to support small businesses, enabling them to develop and contribute to the local economy.
"I hope that the PUMK program from PT Timah will continue to roll out, helping communities and small businesses thrive and continuously stimulate the local economy. We pray for PT Timah's ongoing progress, development, and continued success," he concluded. (*)
