WEST BANGKA -- PT Timah Tbk continues to distribute tens of thousands of basic food packages to help the community in the month of Ramadan. Not only PT Timah Tbk, but PT Timah employees also move to help the community through the 'Ten Thousand Movement' (Gasebu).
Employees of PT Timah Tbk distribute basic food packages to the people of West Bangka by buying coupons worth IDR 10,000 which will later be used to purchase basic food items which will be distributed to people in need.
The simultaneous action carried out by PT Timah Tbk employees also aims to improve the community's economy, because the needs for these basic food packages are purchased from small shops involving PT Timah's fostered partners.
Jupri (40), one of PT Timah's Foster Partners engaged in buying and selling groceries, admitted that he received Ramadan Blessings because PT Timah bought basic food packages from his shop.
"For me, this is a blessing of Ramadan because PT Timah buys basic food packages through my shop. The size of the profit is not a problem, but it is more about giving charity in the month of Ramadan," said Jupri, Wednesday (12/4/2023)
Jupri said his shop prepared 153 food packages from the GASEBU program.
"Alhamdulillah, as many as 153 Ramadhan packages have been delivered to CSR. I thank PT Timah for sharing. Sharing with Foster Partners and sharing with the Community. Hopefully PT Timah, its employees will have more success going forward," he said.
PT Timah's distribution of groceries and the GASEBU Employees program received appreciation from the chairman of the West Bangka KNPI Riandi.
"The concern for PT Timah and its employees is a form of reality towards the community during the holy month of Ramadan. Especially in West Bangka, only PT Timah cares," he said. (*)
