PANGKALPINANG -- The Decluttering Action carried out by employees of PT Timah Tbk in celebration of the company’s 49th anniversary was met with great enthusiasm. A total of one ton of usable items were donated by employees.
The decluttering activity was conducted across all of the company’s operational areas as a form of contribution from PT Timah employees to the community. The collected items will later be distributed to those in need, such as orphanages, kindergartens, and other community groups.
This donation movement also aligns with the theme of PT Timah Tbk’s 49th anniversary, “For the Red and White,” as a way to share joy with the community during the company’s anniversary.
Items donated included usable clothing for children and adults, children’s reading books, toys in good condition, as well as footwear such as sandals and shoes for children.
The Decluttering Action runs from July 4 to August 31, 2025. However, in some areas such as Kundur and Karimun, donations have already been distributed to recipients.
One of the beneficiaries, Nurfaizah, a representative of Yayasan Al Muhajirin Dwi Kora, expressed her gratitude for the assistance.
“On behalf of the foundation, we sincerely thank PT Timah for the donated books and clothing. May these be of great benefit to us all. May Allah protect and bless us all,” she said.
Similarly, Juliati, a neighborhood representative of Dusun 1, Pelambung Village, said the donated clothes were very helpful for the residents.
“We would like to thank PT Timah, especially its employees, who have shared usable clothing with the residents of Pelambung Village,” she said. (*)
