KARIMUN -- Eight students from Meranti Regency and Karimun Regency who passed the interview selection, TPA and Psychotest for the PT Timah Tbk Scholarship Class Program at SMAN 1 Pemali for the 2023/2024 Academic Year took a health test at Bakti Timah Hospital, Tanjung Balai Karimun, Tuesday (6 /6/2023).
Previously, 15 students from Karimun and Meranti had taken the Academic Potential test, Psychotest, interviews, and Clinical Psychology which was held in Batam by collaborating with PIP from Padjadjaran University. From these results, as many as 5 students from Karimun Regency and three students from Meranti Regency passed.
One of the participants who took the medical test, Dewi Padillah said, she was motivated to take part in the PT Timah Tbk Scholarship Class Program because she wanted to help parents to reduce school fees.
In addition, she wants to add knowledge, knowledge, and broad insights.
"I am very motivated by my older siblings who have previously received a scholarship from PT Timah. I also want to be independent and not always rely on my parents," she said.
Meanwhile, the accompanying teacher from SMP Negeri 3 Kundur Barat Derna said that the PT Timah Tbk scholarship class program was very good and helpful. Besides that, it also educates children to increase insight and be independent.
"Teachers at school always tell children that the PT Timah Tbk Scholarship Class Program is very good because there are many outstanding children from other districts, so this will spur children's enthusiasm for learning to be the best," he said. (*)
