GEMURUH -- In commemoration of the National K3 Month, PT Timah Tbk Kundur Production Unit held a cooperation to clean up the environment of the complex area and its surroundings with the West Kundur Sub-District Head and the West Kundur Health Center UPT.
This cooperation also educates the public about the Healthy Living Community Movement (Germas). Caring for and cleaning the surrounding environment is part of a healthy lifestyle.
In addition, during the rainy season cleaning the environment regularly can prevent dengue fever outbreaks.
A representative from the UPT Puskesmas Kundur Barat, Asiar said that his party was very pleased with the initiation of PT Timah Tbk Production Unit to hold cooperation so that it could prevent various potential diseases.
"This cooperation activity is an effective way to deal with dengue fever outbreaks. Especially now that it's the rainy season, it's very good for reducing the development of dengue mosquito breeds," he said.
In the same vein, the Head of West Kundur sub-district, Khaidir, on this occasion also asked the public to clean their environment regularly, so that later they could prevent various potential diseases.
"We, from the Kundur Barat District Government, really support cooperation activities like this, and these activities help the government in tackling dengue fever so that it doesn't become an epidemic. Hopefully, activities like this can be an example of the Community Movement for Healthy Living," he said.
