KARIMUN -- In an effort to improve public health, PT Timah frequently supports local communities by providing medical assistance to those in need within its operational areas.
PT Timah prioritizes medical assistance for individuals facing serious health conditions who are economically disadvantaged. This initiative is part of the company's social and environmental responsibility program.
The company has extended medical aid to various segments of the community, from children to the elderly, who require medical treatment, surgery, or long-term care.
Most recently, PT Timah provided medical assistance to Shahuri Ramadan, a resident of Tanjung Batu, Kundur District, Karimun Regency, who is suffering from a lung condition.
Shahuri requires long-term treatment at a hospital in Karimun, which involves significant costs for transportation, accommodation, and medications.
He expressed gratitude for the support from PT Timah, stating that the assistance would help cover his medical expenses.
“Thank you, PT Timah, for the support with my medical treatment. This help is very meaningful and will greatly assist with my healthcare costs,” he said.
He also extended his well wishes to PT Timah on its upcoming 49th anniversary on August 2, hoping the company continues to prosper and contribute to the community.

In 2025, PT Timah has provided medical assistance to residents in its operational areas, including Bangka, Belitung, and the Riau Islands.
To further improve community health, PT Timah also regularly provides healthcare support such as free medical checkups through its Mobile Clinic and donates medical equipment like wheelchairs and prosthetic limbs.
