CENTRAL BANGKA -- PT TIMAH Tbk continues to provide medical assistance to community members in need. This time, the support was given to Ryshabqi Alkhalifi, a toddler from Terentang III Village, Koba District, Central Bangka Regency.
Ryshabqi Alkhalifi has been living with congenital heart disease, a cleft lip, and microtia (a condition affecting the shape of the outer ear) since birth.
Shabqi’s parents, Gelvi Sulista, explained that their child’s health condition was identified shortly after birth. To receive intensive care, Shabqi had to undergo treatment in Jakarta for approximately seven months.
“About a month after he was born, we took Shabqi to Jakarta for treatment. We stayed there for almost seven months, and only in the last two months has Shabqi been able to stay at home,” Gelvi said.
Currently, Shabqi’s condition is improving, but he still requires 24-hour oxygen every day. One large oxygen tank only lasts about three days, making medical costs still quite burdensome for the family.
Gelvi expressed his deep gratitude for the assistance provided by PT TIMAH Tbk, which has significantly eased the family’s medical expenses.
“We are very thankful to PT TIMAH Tbk for helping with our child’s medical costs and other needs. This assistance means a great deal to our family,” he said.
The Head of Terentang III Village, Sudirman, also conveyed his appreciation for PT TIMAH Tbk’s care for the community.
“We are very grateful for PT TIMAH Tbk’s concern for our residents. This assistance is a great help to families who are fighting for their child’s recovery,” Sudirman said.
