KUNDUR -- PT Timah Tbk continues to carry out social actions to help the community in the month of Ramadan 1446 Hijriah. One of them is by providing food packages for fishing communities in Kundur, Riau Islands Province.
Hundreds of food packages were distributed to fishermen in West Kundur, Setunak, and Kenipaan in the Ramadan safari activity held at Wisma Kundur, on Saturday, March 15.
Director of Human Resources of PT Timah Tbk, Hendra Kusuma Wardana, emphasized that this activity is not only a form of corporate concern, but also a reflection of PT Timah Tbk's work philosophy which places social values as part of business sustainability.
“We gather in one heart bond, in one spiritual awareness, that this life is a mandate, this work is a field of worship, and this togetherness is a blessing that we must maintain,” Hendra said in his speech.
Hendra added, PT Timah through its social and environmental responsibility program continues to be committed to helping communities around the mine, including during Ramadan.
One of the fishermen representatives from Setunak, Alimun, expressed his appreciation for the assistance from PT Timah. According to him, PT Timah often helps the community in various aspects.
“Many thanks to Timah, because so far it has provided a lot of assistance for Setunak fishermen. Hopefully in the future there will be more abundant sustenance for PT Timah. We are proud of PT Timah for helping us, the people of Setunak Village. We are very grateful for the help so far,” said Alimun.
