BANGKA BARAT — In welcoming Eid al-Adha 1447 Hijriah and coinciding with the 23rd Anniversary of West Bangka Regency, PT TIMAH once again demonstrated its concern for the community through the distribution of sacrificial animal assistance.
The sacrificial animal assistance from PT TIMAH was handed over after the 23rd Anniversary ceremony of West Bangka Regency held by the West Bangka Regency Government together with companies and other business actors on Monday (25/5/2026).
On that occasion, Sub Division Head of Processing and Refinery of PT TIMAH, Kopdi Saragih, handed over 39 sacrificial cows directly received by the Regent of West Bangka, Markus, along with the West Bangka Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda).
Markus appreciated the contribution of companies and business actors participating in distributing sacrificial animal assistance to the community. According to him, the assistance carries significant meaning because it is not only part of religious worship, but also strengthens the values of social care and the spirit of sharing.
“The sacrificial worship embodies the values of sincerity, sacrifice, social concern, and the spirit of sharing with others. This momentum also encourages us to strengthen social solidarity and reinforce the sense of brotherhood,” he said.
He hoped that all sacrificial animals distributed could be properly and accurately distributed so the benefits would truly be felt by communities in need.
According to Markus, the activity represents a tangible form of synergy between the business sector and local government in supporting community welfare, especially during the Eid al-Adha celebration.
“The spirit of sharing and social concern like this is greatly needed to strengthen togetherness and mutual cooperation in regional development,” he stated.
Markus also conveyed special appreciation to PT TIMAH as the company providing the largest number of sacrificial animal donations this year.
“We would like to thank PT TIMAH for providing assistance of 39 sacrificial cows for the people of West Bangka. We hope PT TIMAH continues to progress and contribute to the community,” he added.
A similar statement was delivered by the Head of the Social Affairs and Village Community Empowerment Office of West Bangka Regency, Akhmad Nursandi. He stated that PT TIMAH became the company distributing the highest number of sacrificial animals in West Bangka Regency this year.
According to him, the sacrificial animals will later be distributed to villages and sub-districts, especially in the company’s operational areas.
“We would like to thank all companies that have distributed sacrificial animals, especially PT TIMAH, which contributed the largest number of sacrificial cows. We hope this collaboration continues and provides benefits for the people of West Bangka,” he said. (*)
